Artist Statement:
Through my work I consider qualities of atmosphere and pace and their importance in thinking about how to approach daily life. Seeking to capture or create instances of resonant experience, I work with a variety of media, including painting, photography, and sculpture.
Biography:
Nicholas John Jones (b. Taplow, England, 1982) studied MFA Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art (2011), and BA (Hons.) Painting at Wimbledon School of Art (2006). He was artist in residence at the Sunhe Museum, Hangzhou, China (2012); at GURA, Kyoto, Japan (2012); and at Trelex Residency, Switzerland (2012).
